This experience with Pages has been interesting, that is for sure. If I am being completely honest I could never see myself using this as a tool in the classroom. Yes, this app creates beautiful slide shows, and presentations, that is not what I am saying at all. This app is difficult to work with, even after I gained my apple teacher badge, and there are many things that can be done on a word document, an Adobe Spark Page, or even in Google Docs. For myself this was not an app where once I finally got the hang of it it was easy to manipulate, this app was confusing through and through for me. There is one aspect of this app that I thought was very cool and that was the Instant Alpha tool. With this tool you can completely take out the background of a picture so that the texts wraps around the picture perfectly. I think everyone should try everything though, so I encourage all of my readers to go out on their own and try Pages for themselves! And please click the file below to take a look at my Pages! |
